- In each of the following questions, statements are divided into 4 different parts. Identify the part of the sentence that has an error.

Ans: (a) ఒకవేళ Plural Noun ఒక నిర్ధిష్టమైన పరిమాణాన్ని లేదా మొత్తాన్ని తెలియజేస్తే Singular Verbని వాడాలి. ఈ వాక్యంలో five miles అనేది ఒక మొత్తాన్ని గురించి తెలుపుతుంది. కాబట్టి ‘He walks five miles which is really a great distance.....’ సరైనది.

Ans: (a) suppose, if అనే పదాలు రెండు ఒకే రకమైన అర్థాన్ని కలిగి ఉంటాయి. కాబట్టి suppose, ifలను కలిపి వాడకూడదు. వీటిలో ఏదైనా ఒక పదాన్ని మాత్రమే వాడాలి.

Ans: (b) రెండు subjectsని as well as, with, along with, together with లాంటి పదాలు కలిపితే మొదటి subject ప్రకారం Verbని వాడాలి. ఈ వాక్యంలో the teacher అనేది మొదటి subject కాబట్టి ‘is’ అనే verb వాడాలి.

Ans: (b) ఈ వాక్యంలో రెండు subjects (The chairman, the trustee) ఉన్నాయి. కాబట్టి plural verb “were” ని వాడాలి..

Ans: (c) enter అనే పదం తర్వాత into అనే preposition రాకూడదు. అదే విధంగా కింది ఉదాహరణలను గమనించండి.
- Violate, attack, await, accompany, assist, request, investigate, inform, obey, comprise, order, reach, resemble, resist, అనే పదాల తర్వాత కూడా సాధారణంగా prepositions రాకూడదు.

Ans: (a) enough అనే పదాన్ని adjective గా వాడినప్పుడు Noun కి ముందు, adverb గా వాడినప్పుడు adjective /adverb తర్వాత వాడాలి. ఈ వాక్యంలో tall అనే adjective గురించి చెప్తుంది కాబట్టి, Sheela is tall enough... సరైనది.
